Peer review is the cornerstone of academic integrity. At JBL, we rely on our reviewers' expertise to ensure that every published article meets the highest standards of scholarship and practical relevance.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Confidentiality
Treat all manuscripts as privileged documents. Do not share or discuss them outside the review portal.
Objectivity
Reviews must be objective. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate; support your judgment with evidence.
Timeliness
Adhere to the 2-4 week deadline. If you anticipate a delay, notify the Editor-in-Chief immediately.
Conflicts of Interest
Declare any financial or professional conflicts that could bias your evaluation of the research.
Assessment Criteria
Originality & Significance
Does the research contribute novel insights or significant theoretical/practical value to the field of business or law?
Methodology & Rigor
Is the research design appropriate? Are the methods robust, clearly explained, and correctly applied?
Clarity & Logic
Is the manuscript well-structured? Are the arguments logical and supported by the presented data?
Literature & References
Is the literature review comprehensive and up-to-date? Are all citations accurate and relevant?
Submitting Feedback
All reviews are submitted through our online portal. Your report should be structured as follows:
- Recommendation
Select one: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
- Comments to Authors
Provide constructive, detailed feedback that will help authors improve their work. Maintain anonymity.
- Confidential Comments
Private notes specifically for the Editorial Board, including any ethical concerns.
